Terms of service

Last updated October 13, 2026

The agreement

These terms are between Crewyard LLC ("Crewyard", "we") and the business that opens a Crewyard account (the "shop", "you"). By using Crewyard you agree to them. If you use Crewyard for a business, you confirm you can bind that business.

The service

Crewyard is software for running a home-service business: booking and dispatch, a phone app for technicians, quotes and invoices, card payments through Stripe, text and email messaging, automations, and an assistant that can answer calls and texts. We also set shops up: loading the price book and checklists, importing customers, and preparing the paperwork to register the shop for business texting. We may change or improve the service; we'll tell you about changes that reduce what you can do.

Your account and your people

You're responsible for the people you add (owners, office staff, technicians), for keeping logins private, and for what is done under your account. Tell us right away if you think an account has been misused.

Texting and calls: your responsibilities

Messages and calls go out in your name, from your number. You must have each customer's consent before texting them, keep the consent records Crewyard asks for, honor STOP requests (Crewyard enforces them automatically), and follow the laws that apply to you, including the TCPA and carrier rules. You must not use Crewyard for marketing blasts, cold outreach, or any content that is illegal, deceptive or abusive. Crewyard registers your number with the carriers on your behalf using the business details you give us; those details must be accurate.

The assistant

The assistant is software. It takes requests, books appointments only into times you make available, and never quotes prices, but it can misunderstand a caller, and it is not an emergency service. You're responsible for reviewing what it records and for the appointments it books, and for telling callers (we do, by name) that they're speaking with an assistant where the law requires it. You can turn it off, take over any conversation, or route callers to a person at any time.

Payments and fees

Card and bank payments from your customers run through Stripe under Stripe's terms; funds settle to your Stripe account. Crewyard's fee on online payments is Stripe's processing cost plus 0.5% of the payment, deducted from each payment, unless we agree otherwise in writing. Subscription or setup fees, if any, are as agreed with you in writing. You're responsible for your taxes, including any sales tax on your invoices.

Your data

Your customers, jobs, prices, photos and messages are yours. You give Crewyard permission to store and process them to provide the service, as described in our privacy policy. You can export your data on request. If you close your account we'll keep it for a reasonable period so you can export it, then delete it.

Availability and support

We work to keep Crewyard available and fast, with backups and monitoring, but we don't promise uninterrupted service. Phone features depend on carriers and on Twilio; payments depend on Stripe. We'll tell you about planned maintenance when we can. Support is by email and through the app.

Ending the agreement

You can stop using Crewyard at any time. We can suspend or end an account that breaks these terms, puts other shops or carriers at risk, or doesn't pay agreed fees, and we'll say why. Fees already paid aren't refunded unless we say so in writing.

Warranties and liability

Crewyard is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, we disclaim implied warranties, and our total liability to you for anything arising from the service is limited to the fees you paid Crewyard in the twelve months before the claim. We're not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost profits. You'll cover claims against us that come from your use of the service in breach of these terms or of the law, including texting without consent.

Law and changes

These terms are governed by the laws of North Carolina, and disputes go to the courts of North Carolina. If a part of these terms can't be enforced, the rest still applies. We may update these terms; the current version is at this address and material changes are announced in the app. Questions: the contact form at https://getcrewyard.com/contact.
